Mold Design and Engineering
DSW offers a complete set of mold design and tool engineering solutions to our customers. Its software analyzes the molding filling process and establishes filling times, cooling times, material shrinkage, flow direction, and molded-in stress. These details are critical to evaluating the performance of not only the mold but also the material within that mold.
Capabilities include computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), vertical milling, horizontal milling, lathe turning, wire and sinker electrical discharge machining (EDM), as well as a range of injection presses from 55T with 2.8 oz. shots to 880T with 125 oz.
