Tissue Culture Plates

Tissue culture plates are shallow containers made of plastic that are used to grow and study cells.
DSW has professionals in the design and development of a wide range of styles, sizes, and surfaces to suit a variety of cell cultures in different applications with cost-effectiveness.

The new generation of Tissue Culture Plates from DSW is characterized by yellow strip marking areas and easy-to-read black-embossed, alpha-numeric writing. The cell growth surface treatment is limited to the well bottoms and offers optimal attachment and growth for the most varied types of cell lines. The untreated well walls also lead to a flattening of the liquid meniscus that forms, thereby reducing the diffusion of the light. This feature, along with the outstanding optical clarity of the well bottoms, makes these plates ideal for microscopic examination and spectroscopic measurements.

Cell Culture

There are various types of cell culture vessels available for different applications.
Cell culture flasks: These are used for growing cells in suspension and are available in different sizes. They are typically made of plastic and have a vented cap to allow gas exchange.
Cell culture dishes: These are shallow containers made of plastic that are used to grow and study cells. They come in different shapes, sizes, colors, and surface treatments.
Cell culture plates: These are also made of plastic and come in different shapes, sizes, colors, and surface treatments. They are used to study cells in vitro, which means outside of their natural environment. Tissue culture plates are used to grow cells for research, drug discovery, and tissue engineering .
Roller bottles: These are used for growing cells in suspension and are available in different sizes. They are typically made of plastic and are rotated slowly to keep the cells in suspension.
Spinner flasks: These are used for growing cells in suspension and are available in different sizes. They are typically made of glass and are rotated rapidly to keep the cells in suspension.
